Accessibility at Goa

The standard we build to

We target WCAG 2.1 Level AA. That covers the WCAG 2.0 Level AA requirements adopted by Israeli Standard 5568, which is the standard referenced by Israel's accessibility regulations for websites.

This statement covers the Goa marketing site at getgoa.io, including the credits, privacy, and terms pages. The Goa application at app.getgoa.io is a separate product still in early access; it is being built to the same standard but is not yet covered here.

What we have done

• •Every page starts with a “Skip to content” link, uses real landmarks (header, nav, main, footer), and has exactly one heading structure that runs in order.
• •Everything interactive is reachable and operable by keyboard, and shows a visible focus outline. The FAQ is built from native accordions; the sign-in interstitial is a native dialog, so it traps focus and closes on Escape.
• •Text meets at least a 4.5:1 contrast ratio against its background, checked against every surface we actually use.
• •Decorative images are hidden from screen readers rather than read out as noise, and the page never blocks pinch-to-zoom.
• •If your system asks for reduced motion, we honour it: the animations do not run at all, and nothing is left hidden as a side effect.

Where we fall short

An honest list, kept current rather than aspirational:

• •Some background motion on the home page loops continuously. It is switched off entirely for anyone whose system requests reduced motion, but there is no button on the page to pause it.
• •The sample frames and product imagery are treated as decoration and are not described. Nothing is said in an image that is not also said in the text beside it, but you do not get a description of the artwork itself.
• •Signing in hands you to Google, whose pages we do not control.
• •We test with keyboard navigation and automated tooling on every change, but we have not yet done a full manual pass across every screen reader and browser combination.

We aim to reply within 10 business days and to tell you either when it is fixed or why it is taking longer.
